Schools Programme

Did you know that a third of Primary School pupils have never been taught how to ride a bike (Keep Britain Tidy, 2018)? And only 2% of pupils cycle to school (Sustrans, 2021). However, 14% of pupils say that they would like to (Sustrans, 2021).

We have found that often the same barriers get in the way of pupils cycling more often;

  1. Never taught how to ride a bike
  2. Don’t have their own bike
  3. Have a bike but it is broken
  4. Can ride a bike but not confident to cycle of the roads

We have developed a range of solutions to help schools overcome these barriers and help more pupils enjoy the benefits of cycling.
